American Linda Kohanov has been researching social intelligence and leadership in horses for over 25 years. She is a global pioneer in describing the healing effect that exercises with horses have on people with psychological complaints such as burnout and post-traumatic stress syndrome. She is also one of the first to use horses as coaching partners to help people function better in challenges in relationships and leadership.
Her first book Tao of Equus (2001) became an international bestseller. This was followed by Rider between Two Worlds (2006), The Way of the Horse (2007), The Power of the Herd (2013) and The Five Roles of a Master Shepherd (2016).
Over the years, Linda, together with the global community of instructors she has trained, has helped countless organizations and individuals to manage and connect with others more effectively.
Her Eponaquest approach contains important tools for reducing stress, increasing emotional resilience, and strengthening social intelligence. These are applicable in all “human herds” of which we are members, both at work, in our leisure time, and at home.

In 25 short lessons of maximum 20 minutes, you will learn what makes relationships emotionally safe, how to set effective boundaries, and how to motivate others productively and respectfully. Regardless of which “human herd” you are in: at work, at home, or during your free time.

Socially Intelligent Leadership
In her research on leadership and social intelligence in the horse herd, Linda Kohanov discovered five roles that individuals alternate between to get others moving and to guide them in the right direction, while maintaining mutual connection. These natural leadership roles are found in both humans and animals. In this course you will learn to balance the roles for successful cooperation.
